Mr. Barta earned his M.A. in English (Sociolinguistics Specialization) from North Carolina State University and received his B.S. in English & Psychology from North Dakota State University. Kellam was a member of a team of students that conducted an investigative study for an upper-level sociolinguistics course in English under the direction of professor Bruce Maylath. He has received many honors & awards including the Outstanding Teaching Award at NDSU in 2018. Mr. Barta is currently a lecturer in the English Department at North Dakota State University.
