The Socio/Psycho Linguistics course modules consist of three 1 credit modules that can be taken separately. 

Description

Study the basic principles that govern the formal study of language. Learn how to apply guiding principles to all modules of linguistics.

Includes a review of the modules explored in the Intro to Linguistics - Ed course series.

Objectives:

You will:

• Identify the guiding principles of linguistic study;
• Identify social and regional factors that influence language variation;
• Identify the cause of attitudes toward language variations;
• Identify your role as a gatekeeper of language;
• Identify factors involved in language acquisition;
• Identify brain mechanisms involved in language formation and processing.
