Abigail Sayler; Stacy Duffield

Stacy Duffield earned her Ph.D. in secondary/higher education from the University of North Dakota. Her M.Ed. in reading education was awarded from the University of North Dakota. Dr. Duffield is the director of Office of Teaching & Learning and has been at NDSU for 16+ years. Dr. Duffield also teaches undergraduate and graduate-level teacher preparation courses, coordinated the Teacher Education program and the School of Education assessment and accreditation efforts, supervises student teachers, and researches scholarly writing for publication. Dr. Duffield taught in public high schools for nine years before starting her career in higher education.

Dr. Duffield's work has been published in numerous scholarly publications including the Journal of Chemical Education, Middle School Journal, Innovative Higher Education, The Journal of Social Studies Research, Journal of Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Journal of Education for Business, International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, The Encyclopedia of Rural America, Teacher Development, and Current Issues in Education. Dr. Duffield has received many awards & honors such as the 2018 Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) Edward C. Pomeroy Award for Outstanding Contributions to Teacher Education; received for several years both the Outstanding Service to the School of Education as well as the Apple Polisher Award from NDSU Bison Ambassadors student organization for outstanding teaching.

Abigail Sayler earned her Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from NDSU in 2023. Sayler is a research assistant at North Dakota State University. Her goal is to leverage her current skills and learn new analytic skills to drive the development of new ideas and enhance her ability to serve students in a technological education environment.
