Description
With the recent changes in instructional standards for elementary mathematics, the aim of this course is to help equip educators with confidence to teach that content and develop students into young problem solvers.
Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes
Objectives:
Students will:
- produce solutions to math problems for grades K-5.
- design curriculum that is appropriate to the developmental stages of their students.
- create an instructional unit that assesses student understanding of learning goals in mathematics.
Required Student Resources:
- You will need a calculator that can perform basic math functions.
