Description
Taught by a nationally and state certified dyslexia specialist, this course focuses on the early identification of dyslexia risk factors in kindergarten through second grade. Emphasis is placed on interpreting assessment data, identifying common dyslexia risk profiles, and making informed instructional decisions that support early intervention and help prevent long-term reading difficulties.
This course meets DPI’s Dyslexia Professional Development Guidance for Level II Assessment.

- explore the cognitive foundations of dyslexia.
- learn how dyslexia risk presents in young learners.
- examine the role of universal screening and progress monitoring within an MTSS framework.
