Meeting Pattern

The Socio/Psycho Linguistics course modules consist of three 1 credit modules that can be taken separately. 

Each module includes a specific component of the formal study of language (see topic outlines below). Phonology/Phonetics, Morphology/Syntax,  Semantics/Pragmatics & Guiding Principles of Ling are a pre-requisite for this course. Each module can be taken for a letter grade or as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. Same text book for all 3 modules and for the completion of the Sociolinguistics & Psycholinguistics course module series!

Each module can be completed at your own pace, which means you can register for multiple modules per semester as long as you start and finish each one in order.

Description

Study of the basic principles that govern the formal study of language. Students will learn how to apply guiding principles to all modules of linguistics. This module includes a review of the modules explored in the Intro to Linguistics - Ed course series.
