Objectives:

Educators will:

  1. Explain the impact of Artificial Intelligence on education and student learning approaches.
  2. Know how to use ChatGPT and an AI detection software, assessed in the Day 1 Knowledge-To-Action Assignment.
  3. Analyze the potential advantages and limitations of AI tools like ChatGPT within an educational context, measured by their analysis in the Day 1 Knowledge-To-Action Assignment.
  4. Implement strategies to create AI-resistant assignments, fostering critical thinking, evaluated through the adaptation of a personal teaching assignment in the Day 2 Knowledge-To-Action Assignment.
  5. Know how to ethically integrate AI tools into the classroom, demonstrated by the creation of in-class activities in the Day 3 Knowledge-To-Action Assignment.
  6. Utilize AI, specifically ChatGPT, to enhance teaching efficiency, including optimizing email communication and lesson planning, assessed through the crafting of an email newsletter and a lesson plan in the Day 4 Knowledge-To-Action Assignment.
