Parenting the Love and Logic Way has been reviewed. Strategies, principles and exercises are applicable to child care providers and meet the licensing standards for Family, Group and Child Care Centers. Parenting the Love and Logic Way is appropriate for the early childhood workforce.

Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes

Objectives:

Participants will:

  1. List strategies to stay calm and empathetic with children.
  2. Name tools used to empower children to learn from mistakes.
  3. Provide examples of choices that avoid power struggles.
  4. Set appropriate limits for children.
  5. Name ways to guide children to own and solve their problems.
  6. Create meaningful roles for children within the “childcare family’’.
