Description

Safe Zone Ally Training is designed to: (1) educate people about sexual orientation and gender identity/expression; (2) create a visible netowrk of Allies to support the LGBTQ+ community at NDSU; and (3) provide accurate information about sexual orientation and gender identity/expression diversity and resources in our community.  

This is the first of 3 levels of training that are offered for Safe Zone:

1. Level 1 - Becoming an Ally - is an introduction to terminology, coming out, privilege/oppression, and how to be an Ally
2. Level 2 - Gender Identity/Expression - focuses on the experiences of transgender/non-binary individuals
3. Level 3 - Upstander - is an interactive session that seeks ot provide participants with skills to stand up to bigotry and hate.
