Leah Juelke received her Bachelor’s degree in English Education, EL certification and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NDSU. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Reading, Literacy, and Assessment at Walden University. Leah is an English Language Arts teacher, EL specialist, and literacy coach in Fargo, North Dakota. She is a decorated educator whose passion for global education, literacy, and creating a welcoming community for refugee and immigrant English Learners earned her the title of 2018 North Dakota Teacher of the year, as well as a spot as one of the top 10 teachers in the world and a finalist for the Global Teacher Prize in 2020.
