Dr. Roberta Nelson
Dr. Nelson attained a Doctor of Philosophy in 2007 from a CACREP accredited Counselor Education program. She possesses education, training, and experience in thirteen core content counseling areas, specializing in adult education, mental health, addiction, trauma, and transpersonal psychology. Work experience with diverse populations demonstrates comprehension and implementation of a range of theoretical modalities and protocols including, but not limited to: depth psychology, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, multiculturalism, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and transpersonal psychology, acquired through academic study, clinical training and practice as an addiction, clinical mental health, and transpersonal clinician. In addition to counseling experience, knowledge and skill application, professional practice takes in functioning as a Counselor Educator presenting nationally, and internationally, on the dimensions and dynamics of holistic human development.
