Description

This training program is designed to equip teaching staff with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the full spectrum of student behavior, including challenging behaviors such as externalizing actions (e.g., aggression, disruptions), refusals to follow directions, and other behaviors that impede learning. Moving beyond traditional approaches, this course emphasizes the unique expertise teachers possess regarding their students. It defines Behavior Management Training as a proactive and responsive framework that empowers educators to become skilled behavioral interventionists.

Through practical strategies and evidence-based techniques, participants will learn to foster improved student autonomy, cultivate stronger teacher-student connections, and implement preventative measures to mitigate teacher burnout, all while prioritizing the safety of both students and staff. This course will explore how to leverage existing relationships and classroom dynamics to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
