Description
This experience will allow the participants to learn how to create a positive experience for high school student-aged athletes and coaches. If you are a staff member in a school who needs to help plan logistics for events, completing this course will help you to understand what is needed to successfully complete an event.

Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes
Objectives:
- To develop skills needed to plan large events for high school aged participants.
- To develop skills needed to relate to and operate in a fast-paced setting during an event.
- To learn how to relate to a diverse group of people, considering their needs and backgrounds.
- To develop reflective skills after working an event, including how to change plans for growth.
Required Student Resources & Text:
- Obtain Safe Sport Certification Before the Start of the Tournament, https://uscenterforsafesport.org/training-and-education/safesport-courses-for-all/ *Submit image of the certificate via email to the instructor.
- Take notes after working each session to apply to your career.
- Complete required course sessions for credit.

Type a reflective essay – 5 paragraphs – Identify the three main things you learned from working and how you can apply that to your position (e.g. teacher, coach, etc.) *Submit file of essay via email to the instructor @ mslocomb@west-fargo.k12.nd.us by July 26th.
