Description

The purpose of this course is to connect teachers to professional literature in a meaningful way. Participants will select a professional text based on their response to the following:

What do I need to support my sense of professional efficacy?

Participants will select a text of their choosing that addresses their response to this question. Participants will complete action and reflection components throughout the duration of their text, at their own pace, that will allow them to support their individual professional growth.

This course is provided in multiple parts to allow participants to engage with multiple professional texts.

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • identify what they need to feel more effective as a professional. 
  • select a professional text to support their growth in response to the question: what do I need to support my sense of professional efficacy?
  • reflect on their practice and create actionable steps to grow as a professional.

Required Course Materials:

  1. Personal Google account (school-affiliated accounts will not work).
  2. Access to Google Classroom, join code: xj2ps4j
  3. Selected professional text that is appropriate for the identified area of desired growth, with at least 10 chapters. 
  4. Audio/visual recording capability with reliable internet access.
