Description
This course is designed to give educators a deeper understanding of ways culture effects students' ability to learn and be successful in school. Teachers will gain insight into supporting students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and creating meaningful learning that provides success in both academics and social emotional learning.

Objectives:
Teachers will:
- develop skills to identify with students struggling due to cultural disparities.
- effectively manage instruction that engages students deemed as at-risk.
- create instruction that effectively engages all students.

Teachers are responsible for accessing BlackBoard and making discussion comments pertaining to questions reflective of weekly reading. I'm not requiring a final reflection paper because teachers will be using their personal times during our discussion meetings.
