Meeting Pattern

This course is self-paced. Students will select and listen to podcasts from the site titled Changing the Game Project with one on-line discussion at the beginning of the course (January 16 @ 8:00 p.m.) and one on-line discussion at the conclusion of the course (March 19 @ 8:00 p.m.) in which attendance is required. For the on-line discussion, we will use BB Collaborate, a video conferencing software. You will need to have a camera and headphones so we can all see and hear one another

This course is intended to increase your awareness and understanding of important issues regarding sport coaching.

Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes

Objectives:

  1. Students will identify and discuss the challenges of coaching in contemporary society.
  2. Students will identify and study a specific topic in coaching and athlete development .
  3. Students will write a paper based on their focus area in coaching and athlete development.
