Description
Research clearly indicates the benefits of reading, writing and telling stories. Those benefits include—but are not limited to—engaging the brain, creating empathy, solving problems, offering hope, entertaining an audience, increasing memory, . . . (Field, Hurst, Joe). Teachers for students of all ages and academic levels recognize the significance of guiding their students to be better readers, writers, and storytellers. During this DKG conference, participants will attend sessions that promote reading the stories of others, listening to the oral interpretation of stories, learning how to write and tell their own stories, and engaging in the opportunity to present those stories.
