Description

The course will review the concept of empathy and the importance of empathy to leadership within educational settings. Topics covered will include the academic research on empathy, the relationship between empathy and leadership in educational settings, applied empathy in formal and informal educational leadership settings, and the relationship between empathy and creating more equitable educational settings. Leaders will be prompted to create leadership philosophies and personal development that center around empathy and equity.
