Description

Empower students to create and help them demonstrate their thinking with media. This self-paced class allows you to choose your own adventure to explore resources, play with tools, and create lessons you’ll actually use in the classroom. From video production to podcasting, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and resources to get your students reading, analyzing, and creating media in the classroom. Appropriate for all skills, subjects, and grades. Amplify your students’ voices -and your lessons!- with media.

Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes

Objectives:

Teachers will:

• Reflect on their practice and identify potential areas for growth.
• Explore resources to support their use of media in the classroom.
• Play with tech tools and apps that support media creation in the classroom.
• Create lesson plans, activities, or units engaging students in the creation of media.
