Zoom sessions Mondays 2:00 - 3:15 p.m.
Description
This course is for anyone new to Instructional Coaching or any coach that would like to revisit some of the course’s content. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect and discuss with other Instructional Coaches on weekly topics and activities through Google Classroom, along with Networking Zoom Sessions. Participants will leave this course with an Instructional Coaching Plan for their upcoming work, along with a new professional coaching community.
Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Examine and reflect on the roles and characteristics of an effective coach.
- Determine how to support teachers through coaching conversations and various coaching strategies.
- Develop a system to organize a coach's work and schedule.
- Apply adult learning theory to create effective professional development opportunities.
- Build a Professional Learning Network (PLN) using weekly Networking Zoom sessions.
- Develop an Instructional Coaching Plan that includes all the weekly topics from the course.
