Description

This course is an opportunity to learn with ND professionals how to incorporate the health. moves. minds.® Fundraising program in your school.  Participants will have the option to lead a fundraising event at their school or to simply access the SEL lessons and activities to implement within your classes.  During the program, we will share how to incorporate the health. moves. minds. lessons and activities into the classroom and will additionally provide information about leading a fundraising event.  Participants that plan to lead a fundraising event will need to visit healthmovesminds.org and click the green Sign Up button to create a School Team and register as a Team Champion.  Those participants that do NOT plan to lead a fundraising event, but wish to access the education materials, will need to visit healthmovesminds.org and click the orange Access Lessons button.

Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes

Objectives:

Teachers will understand:

• Networking and learning opportunities through zoom meetings with professionals around ND.
• High Quality Resources available to support best practices in teaching SEL activities.
• SEL activities for grade levels K-12.
• Implementing at least one SEL activity learned from the HMM curriculum.

• Sept 28th, 8:00 -10:00 p.m. Intro into Health.Moves.Minds. Access to all materials, class expectations.
• Oct 5th, 8:00 -10:00 p.m. Deep dive into elementary level resources/lessons/activities.
• Oct 12th, 8:00 -10:00 p.m. Deep dive into middle school level resources/lessons/activities.
• Oct 16th, 8:00 -10:00 p.m. Deep dive into high school level resources/lessons/activities.
