Description
Amplify your students’ voices and your lessons with media! This self-paced class allows you to choose your own adventure and explore how to use video production, podcasting, and social media in the classroom. Whether you teach media, English, or history; elementary, middle school, or high school; have a cell phone camera or a full editing suite, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and resources to get your students reading, analyzing, and creating media in the classroom. Empower students to create and help them demonstrate their thinking.
Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes
Objectives:
Teachers will:
- reflect on their practice and identify potential areas for growth.
- explore resources to support their use of media in the classroom.
- play with tech tools and apps that support media creation in the classroom.
- create lesson plans, activities, or units engaging students in the creation of media.
