Description
This course will equip professionals in K-12 environments to understand medications for mental health conditions. Whether for a better understanding of the treatments for their students, their coworkers, or themselves, this course will cover how medications work, common misconceptions, what to expect, and how to get the most from medications for depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
Syllabus, Objectives, and Outcomes
Objectives:
- Identify the classification of medications that treat mental disorders.
- Describe medication pearls, and self-monitoring foci with each medication class discussed.
Required Student Resources:
- Video recordings will be provided. No other resources are required.
